Officer-involved shooting in central Wisconsin

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) — The Wood County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting involving an officer.
Deputies say dispatchers got a call about 3 a.m. Sunday about a man who was threatening a person with a knife in Wisconsin Rapids.
When officers arrived they ordered the armed man to the ground. Authorities say that's when the man lunged at one of the officers with a knife and was shot.
WEAU-TV says he was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. There's no immediate word on his condition.
