GLP still undefeated; Village Lanes wins 10th straight
In Great Lakes Pipe’s 23-9 win over Jack’s Bar, Ray Kosey was a perfect 6-for-6, Randy Gunderson was 5-for-6 and Steven Anderson was 4-for-5. All three hit home runs to help out winning pitcher Jr. Anderson.
Village Lanes ran its consecutive winning streak to 10 games with a 26-10 win over the Capri. Leading the Lanes at the plate were Rich Sharpe, with a double and triple; Ron Moen, who was 3-for-4; winning pitcher, Jim Nystrom, who singled four times; and Mike Severson, who homered and singled three times.
Capri was led by John Benoit, who was 3-for-4 with a double. Terry Massoglia was also 2-for-3 and John Spalding tripled and singled.
The playoffs are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21 with the probability of an upper and lower division, double elimination format. All games will be played at the 58th Street Complex.
