NHS meeting

Northwestern High School will hold a parent/athlete rules and eligibility meeting at 6 p.m. today at the high school.

The meeting is for those participating in a fall sport at NHS.

SHS cross country

There will be an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for Superior High School students interested in running cross country. The meeting will take place in the SHS DECA room.

Pony League sign-up

Pony Football League sign-ups have been scheduled for Superior and Northwestern.

The Superior/Douglas County Pony Football League is for those going into the seventh and eighth grades.

Superior Pony Football registration and weigh-ins will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19 at Superior High School (use 28th street entrance).

Northwestern Pony Football registration and weigh-ins will be held Sunday, Aug 22 at

Northwestern Middle School. Seventh-graders will meet at 5:30 p.m. and eighth-graders at 6:30 p.m.

SYO fashion show

In March, the Superior Youth Organization embarked on a fundraising campaign to build a new concession stand for the Babe Ruth and softball fields.

This weekend, Aug. 14, there will be a “Back to School” fashion show featuring 40 baseball/softball players and their families as models.

The cost is $15, which includes lunch and a donation. It will be held at The Shack Restaurant from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
