The survey team at the National Weather Service in Duluth has preliminary confirmation of two tornado touchdowns from Tuesday's storms.

The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage received tornado damage near the Springstead Landing in Iron County. The damage caused mainly by extreme straight-line thunderstorm winds, the service said.

Other damage occurred in far eastern Ashland County, north of Highway F along Roddis Line Road. The cause of damage was similar to the tornado at Turtle-Flambeau Flowage, embedded within a "broad swath of wind damage."

The damage survey continues today in Ashland and Bayfield counties.
