Douglas County's most wanted

In conjunction with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, the Superior Telegram provides information on offenders sought by law enforcement. There are more than 3,000 active warrants in Douglas County. The sheriff’s department has winnowed down the list to their “most wanted.” The following offenders have active arrest warrants:

Robert Kenneth Murray, 36, is sought for failing to provide child support and drug related charges. According to court records: He faces 54 felony counts of failing to provide for a child. Murray was ordered to pay support for three minor children beginning in February 2004. Records show that Murray never made any payments. More than six years after he was ordered to pay child support, a complaint was filed alleging 54 counts of failure to support a child. Murray failed to make his initial appearance and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

In addition, Murray faces two felony counts of delivery of marijuana and one felony count of delivery of cocaine as a party to the crime. The charges stem from three drug buys by a confidential reliable informant working with Superior police in 2002. The complaint and warrant were filed the same day in June 2004. Murray has yet appear on the drug charges.

Murray is an African-American male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-8 and weighs 210 pounds. His birth date is Feb. 11, 1974.

Nicholas Paul Scott, 31, is sought for burglary and theft. According to court records: Scott also goes by the names of Nikolas P. Scott, Nick New York Scott and New York Scott. Scott faces felony burglary and theft charges as a party to a crime stemming from a June 15 incident in the town of Parkland. He is accused of entering an occupied home without consent and stealing a safe containing jewelry worth more than $7,000. A teen boy who lived there was present during the burglary. Scott is one of three people who entered the home and left with the safe, the complaint stated. He has yet to make an initial appearance in the case.

Scott is a white male with brown hair and eyes. He is 5-foot-11 and weighs 175 pounds. His birth date is May 19, 1979.
