GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A highway cleanup volunteer was struck and killed while working along a road in Brown County.
Authorities say the 70-year-old Adopt-a-Highway volunteer was working in a ditch along Highway 41 near De Pere Wednesday evening when he was struck by a car.
The State Patrol says the 31-year-old Green Bay woman driving the car lost control and hit the man. The woman and two passengers were taken to St. Vincent Hospital.
The patrol is looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
