FRIENDSHIP, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say the man who drowned in the Wisconsin River in the Wisconsin Dells area was from Turkey.
Adams County sheriff's officials say the 22-year-old man was swimming in the Kilbourn Flowage area of the river Sunday about 8:30 p.m. when he went under. A dive team recovered the man's body about 10:30 p.m.
WKOW-TV reports the man's name hasn't been released.
Officials say shifting currents in the river can be dangerous.
