BURNSVILLE, Minn. (AP) — The State Patrol said Monday alcohol was involved in a head-on crash that killed an 11-year-old boy and injured four others in Burnsville.
The patrol says a 27-year-old Savage woman crossed the median and hit the victims' SUV, then struck another vehicle Sunday about 8 p.m. on Highway 13.
The boy was in the SUV. The crash also injured his parents and sister. Authorities say the woman who was drinking and crashed into the two other vehicles was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
The Star Tribune says she's expected to survive her injuries.
