Anderson hired as LSC alumni relations director

LuAnne Anderson joined the Lake Superior College staff as alumni relations director.

Prior to LSC, Anderson served as director of fund development for at Lakeshore Inc., and worked at SMDC for nearly 25 years; 12 of those years in its foundation.

Anderson also has a strong special events background. Her event planning experience includes the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival, SMDC New Year’s Eve Auction and Sacred Heart Music Center wedding coordination. She’s also been a member of Skyline Rotary, served as chair and member-at-large on the Young Athletes Foundation Board, a member of Sacred Heart Music Center Board, and most recently, a member-at-large on the Goodwill Board.

“I’m very excited about this position,” said Anderson. “I’ll take great pleasure in ensuring that students have generous scholarship opportunities while sharing the responsibility with staff and colleagues to enhance the philanthropic environment here at Lake Superior College.”
