The Lake Nebagamon man who was injured in a Friday ATV accident has died.
According to his CaringBridge website, Darren Harvey, 44, died Wednesday morning of injuries sustained in the accident. A funeral is planned for noon Saturday, according to the site.
Harvey was driving his ATV on Wasgren Road just north of Third Street North when he lost control of the vehicle and drove right into the ditch, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Department report. The Lake Nebagamon man was thrown from the ATV and transported by Gold Cross ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital.
As of Wednesday morning, Harvey's CaringBridge site had received more than 6,000 visits from friends and family and built up a dozen pages of comments in the guest book. The first glimpse visitors to the site get of Harvey is a picture of him riding his ATV in the Lake Nebagamon parade.
