Wisconsin Council of the Blind offers college scholarships
Each year, the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired allocates funds to provide seven $1,500 scholarships for full-time students and two $1,000 scholarships for part-time students enrolled in college and vocational school programs.
Applicants must be high school graduates or returning students, carrying a full load of classes as defined by the institution they will attend, and have an accumulated GPA of at least 2.5. Part-time students must verify their courses and schedules. All applicants must have identified goals for the future, including eventual employment.
Scholarship applications and additional information are on the council’s Web site: www.wcblind.org. Deadline to submit all materials is Oct. 1.
The council will present the scholarships on Nov. 13 at its Annual Awards and Scholarship Luncheon.
