DTA offers special fair bus from downtown Duluth, Superior
The Duluth Transit Authority and the city of Superior provide special evening service between downtown Duluth, downtown Superior and the Head of the Lakes Fair, starting Wednesday through July 17.
The Duluth Transit Authority and the city of Superior provide special evening service between downtown Duluth, downtown Superior and the Head of the Lakes Fair, starting Wednesday through July 17.
The special evening service to the Head of the Lakes Fair departs downtown Duluth hourly at the Holiday Center from 6:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m., with service along Route No. 17 South Superior route. Return trips from the fair will run hourly from 6:40 p.m. with the last return trip to downtown Superior and downtown Duluth leaving the fairgrounds at 10:45 p.m.
Special evening DTA routing to the fairgrounds runs west from the Holiday Center in Duluth along Superior Street to Garfield Avenue, Blatnik Bridge, Hammond Avenue, Broadway, and Tower Avenue to the fairgrounds. Return routing to downtown Duluth will be in reverse.
Daytime bus service to the Head of the Lakes Fair is available on the DTA’s regular Route 17 weekday service with connections with the Route 16 Duluth-Superior buses for people coming from Duluth to transfer at North 14th Street and Tower Avenue.
The DTA provides regular route service to the fair on Route 17 from 10:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Sunday. The last Route 17 bus departs the Fairgrounds on Tower Avenue at 5:40 p.m. and makes transfer connections in downtown Superior at 14th and Tower with the Duluth-Superior Route 16 bus at 6:08 p.m. Route 16 Duluth-Superior buses also provide service to Superior on Sunday, connecting with Route 17 buses to the fair.
