The Jim Dan Hill Library on the University of Wisconsin-Superior is again open to students and the public.

Flooding from a severe thunderstorm on June 24 infiltrated the first floor and lower level of the library, leaving up to an inch of water standing in some patches, damaging drywall and soaking 2,500 books, according to Lynne Williams, director of marketing and communication for UWS. The building was closed for cleanup and remained closed until air quality tests were satisfactory.

Storm water seeped into the basement of Old Main, as well. The basement area of the building remains closed, Williams said.
