Douglas County's most wanted

In conjunction with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department, the Superior Telegram provides information about offenders sought by law enforcement. There are more than 3,000 active warrants in Douglas County. The sheriff’s department has winnowed down the list to their “most wanted.”

If anyone has information on these offenders, they can contact the tip line at (715) 395-1230. If they know exactly where an offender is at the moment, they are asked to call 911.

The following offenders have active arrest warrants:

Robert Fredrick Reinfeld, 26, is sought for possession of an electric weapon and substantial battery as a party to a crime. According to court records: The charges stem from an incident in February in which he and another man are accused of entering an apartment in Superior’s South End and assaulting a man who was visiting the residence. The victim was allegedly shot with a Taser, than beaten. He suffered numerous cuts, lacerations and bumps on his head and received two staples the back of his head from the attack. The victim picked Reinfeld and a second man out of a photo line up. Reinfeld failed to make an initial appearance in May and an arrest warrant was issued.

Reinfeld is a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds. His birth date is Nov. 11, 1983. Photo not available.

John Joseph Kelly IV, 42, is sought for possession of a firearm by a felon. According to court records: Kelly is accused of trying to sell a .22 caliber rifle to a confidential informant who told police about the proposed deal. The information led to an undercover police officer buying the gun from Kelly, who is a convicted felon, in February. Kelly was convicted of child abuse-recklessly causing harm in 2002 in Douglas County. He was also convicted in Minnesota for felony charges of perjury in 1992, fifth-degree sale of controlled substance in 1993 and theft in 2007. He failed to make a court-ordered appearance in April and a warrant was issued.

Kelly is a bald white male with blue eyes. He is 5-foot-9 and weighs 165 pounds. His birth date is Sept. 18, 1967. Photo not available.
