Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Superior named Millie Rounsville as recipient of its 2010 Distinguished Alumni award. She delivered the commencement speech to WITC graduates on May 14.
Rounsville is the chief executive officer of Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency , a position she has held since August 2005. From 1997 to 2005, Rounsville served as a planner for the NWCSA. During that time, she was instrumental in planning, designing, developing and implementing many of the programs, services and housing activities currently managed by NWCSA.
Rounsville also serves as chair of the ABC Housing and Homeless Task Force, board president for Lake Superior Community Health Center, president of The Coalition for the Advancement of Fair Housing, secretary for the Statewide CAP Association, and treasurer for the Balance of State Continuum of Care Association. She also serves on the Advisory Committees for the Extension Offices, Rural Community Assistance Program, the Hunger Coalition, Northland Wisconsin Saves Project, Community Assessment Groups and Anti-Poverty Action Committees.
Rounsville lives in Duluth with her husband and two sons.
