Superior: An open-air farmer’s market runs 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot near the SS Meteor on Barker’s Island. The farmer’s market takes place rain or shine every Saturday through October.
Madeline Island: Dennis White, Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe, demonstrates traditional finger weaving techniques at the Madeline Island Museum 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and Sunday as part of the museum’s 2010 summer artist in residence program.

Superior: The Superior Singers present their summer concert, “100 Years of American Pop,” a century’s worth of hits from 1900 to the present day, at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 820 Belknap St., as part of Superior’s Fourth of July Celebration. Free and open to the public. The group also performs at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Billings Park Pavilion.
Cornucopia: The 65th anniversary of the Cornucopia Club’s annual fish fry begins at 11 a.m. in the Bell Town Hall, formally the old school. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. The price per ticket for the fireworks raffle is $2 or three tickets for $5.

Bayfield: The Friends of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore are once again sponsors the “Around the Archipelago” guest lecture series Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. from July 5 through August 23. This week, Wisconsin folksinger David H.B. Drake presents the life and times and music of a 19th century Great Lakes sailor in “A Sailor’s Songbag.” Free at the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore’s visitor center in Bayfield’s Old County Courthouse, Washington Avenue between Fourth and Fifth Streets.

Rice Lake: The timeless story of Mame, the flamboyant woman who goes from riches to rags and back to riches again, graces the Red Barn Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m. tonight through July 17.
