The Duluth Transit Authority suspends regular route and STRIDE services in the Twin Ports on the Fourth of July, with the exception of the Port Town Trolleys.
The trolleys provide service to Bayfront 4th Fest and will operate two on its regular route from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, circulating every 15 minutes between downtown Duluth, Fitger’s, Canal Park and Bayfront Festival Park.
Since Harbor Drive is closed, the trolleys will not be able to serve the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Excursion Dock, the S/S Irvin or Lakes 10/Omnimax theaters.
The Port Town Trolley fare is 50 cents. Unlimited-ride Trolley Day Passes are available on the Trolley for $3. DTA passes and stored value fare cards are honored. For trolley route and schedule information, call (218) 722-7283 or visit www.duluthtransit.com.
