Robert Sundstrom of Biwabik, Minn., used a 9-iron to ace the 144-yard fifth hole on the North course on Sunday, June 27 at the Nemadji Golf Course.

Golfing with Sundstrom was Superior’s James Sundstrom.

Thursday Morning Ladies

This week the Thursday Morning Ladies at the Nemadji Golf Course will play the North course.

A draw for partners will be at 8:15 a.m. and tee times will now start at 8:30 a.m.

The Thursday Morning Swingers league held a 5, 7, 9 event June 24. The winners were: Flight 1 — Sally Gustafson, four 5s; Flight 2 — Marla Larson, five 7s; and Flight 3 — Dorothy Lundgren, four 9s.

Sally Gustafson and Myrna Kangas had the low scores.

There will be a meeting at 8:15 a.m. on July 1 to finalize plans for guest day.

Poplar

Booster Club

The Northwestern Booster Club scramble is Saturday, July 17 at the Poplar Golf Course.

The event is a best-ball four- or five-person scramble (men & co-ed).

The scramble begins at 2:30 p.m. and the cost is $45 per person.

There will also be door prizes and a silent auction with a steak or chicken dinner following golf.
