Train kills man on tractor in Chippewa County
A Chippewa County man has been killed after a freight train struck the tractor he was driving.By: The Associated Press, Superior Telegram
HOWARD, Wis. (AP) — A Chippewa County man has been killed after a freight train struck the tractor he was driving.
Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says the man apparently didn't see the train as he was crossing the railroad tracks and the train hit his tractor in the town of Howard near the Dunn County line about 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating. The victim's identity has not been released.
