Ogren-Sharma

Maycel Joyce Ogren, daughter of Robert and Dianne Bemis of Superior, exchanged vows with Dr. Dushyant Sharma on June 15. He is the son of Shashikala and Krishna Sharma of Gwalior, India.

The couple was married at Enger Tower in Duluth with Isrial Malacki officiating.

Julie Bemis of Minneapolis was the maid of honor and the bride’s father, Robert Bemis of Superior was the best man. The bride’s brother, Sgt. Michael Ogren, was not able to attend the wedding because he is serving in Iraq.

The reception was held at Blackwood’s Restaurant.

The bride was an officer in the Navy from 1999-2004 she served two tours in Iraq aboard the Harry S. Truman. She graduated from UWS with a bachelor’s degree in pre-law and is attending WITC of Superior for occupational therapy.

The groom graduated from Tulane University Medical College and is a doctor of internal medicine. He is currently attending GRMC, a medical college.
