According to the accident reports:
A one-vehicle rollover sent one man to the hospital Sunday night.
Donald Wayne Oliver, 55, of Iowa was driving southbound along Billings Drive around 6 p.m. Oliver was driving too fast to negotiate the winding road when he failed to make a right curve. The truck he was driving went up the embankment and then downhill, rolling over and landing on its left side.
A citation for driving too fast for conditions was issued, according to online court records. He was transported via Gold Cross Ambulance.
In a separate crash, a Superior man toppled a light pole along Tower Avenue before driving into a tree Saturday afternoon near Arby’s Restaurant. The driver of the vehicle, Joseph M. Hagadorn, told Superior police he had just passed the intersection of North 38th Street and Tower Avenue when he passed out. The southbound vehicle drove off the road and along the sidewalk for approximately 150 yards before knocking down the light pole in front of the AT&T store, striking a tree and coming to a rest with severe front end damage.
Hagadorn was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance, according to report. It was unknown what caused the driver to faint. No birth date for Hagadorn was given.
