The Duluth Transit Authority will suspend all regular route and STRIDE services in the Twin Ports on Sunday, the Fourth of July, with the exception of the Port Town Trolleys.

The DTA will resume full regular route and STRIDE services July 5.

Port Town Trolleys to provide service to Bayfront 4th Fest. In an effort to accommodate the Bayfront Fourth of July festivities, the DTA will operate two Port Town Trolleys on its regular route from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, circulating every 15 minutes between downtown Duluth, Fitger’s, Canal Park and Bayfront Festival Park.

The Trolleys will provide service to Bayfront Festival Park; but since Harbor Drive will be closed to traffic for Fourth Fest activities, the Trolleys will not be able to serve the Great Lakes Aquarium, the Excursion Dock, the S/S Irvin or Lakes 10/Omnimax theaters on July 4.

The Port Town Trolley fare is 50 cents. Unlimited-ride Trolley Day Passes are available on the Trolley for $3. DTA passes and stored value fare cards will be honored on the trolleys with children under the age of four riding free.
