Teens implicated in rash of burglarySuperior police arrested two juveniles Friday in connection with a recent rash of garage burglaries.
Superior police have arrested two juveniles in connection with a recent rash of garage burglaries.
Two juveniles males, age 16, were taken into custody after police received information related to the June 1 burglaries in the vicinity of the 2600 block of Ogden, John and Hughitt avenues. In some of the burglaries, garages and vehicles were spray painted.
After interviewing the teens, police executed a search warrant where items stolen in the burglary were recovered. According to Detective Sgt. Rick Hughes, police also discovered marijuana growing in an attic crawl space.
The teens were referred to juvenile intake for prosecution. Because of their ages, their names are not being released.
Several other burglaries in the Billings Park area June 4 may also be linked to these two juveniles, according to police. The investigation is continuing in that respect.
