Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Holmes of rural Gilbert, Minn., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Megan Barbara Holmes to Edwin Richard Brown of Maple.
Megan is a 2006 Mesabi East High School graduate and 2010 College of Scholastica graduate with a major in biology and a double minor in chemistry and psychology. Megan is applying to medical school. She is employed as a physicians scribe at the Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minn.
Edwin Richard Brown is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Crystal (Graff) Brown of Maple. Edwin is a 2004 graduate of Northwestern High School in Maple and a 2007 graduate of Lake Superior College with a degree in major commercial and residential wiring. He is working toward his contractor’s license. Eddie is serving in Bagram, Afghanistan, with the 148th Air National Guard of Duluth.
Their love for winter and the great outdoors have lead them to choose a winter wedding, which is being planned for Dec. 30 on the shore of Lake Superior at the Grand Superior Lodge in Two Harbors, Minn.
