Youth softball season gets underway

The first annual Superior Youth Organization Icebreaker Softball Tournament will be held today and Saturday in Superior.

Girls in three age divisions (10U, 12U and 14U) will compete in a total of 25 games. Teams from Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota are scheduled to play in the event. Superior will be represented by a team in each division.

Games are held at Wade Bowl and Liebaert Field.

On Friday, games will be played at 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Play begins at 8:15 a.m. Saturday on all three fields. The championship game for the 12U and 14U girls will begin at 7:15 p.m. Saturday.
