Ray Mattson and Ron Schultz led the batting attack for the Veterans of Foreign Wars team in a 12-9 win over Concordia in a Class A Softball League game. Schultz hit a two-run homer and Mattson went 2-for-2 at the plate. (1963)

Marcie Kelly scored a hole-in-one on the 94-yard, par-three, fourth hole with a 7-iron at the Nemadji Golf Course. The ace was witnessed by Lois VanDreische, Dave Starkey and Bob Gunderson. (1981)
