Pancakes

Bayside Baptist Church hosts its third annual sports ministry fundraiser for softball. Authentic Swedish pancakes with fresh lingonberry sauce are served with sausage, juice and coffee 8-11 a.m. Saturday. Confirmation

On Sunday, seven young people will confirm their baptismal vows during worship at the United Presbyterian Church, Superior. Cassandra Fuller, Hannah Fuller, Nathaniel Fuller, Holden Willmore, Kjersten Lisak, Isabel Skye and Tyler Kiel have been meeting regularly to prepare since last September. The young people will also take part in the leading of worship. A reception in their honor follows in the Fellowship Hall.

Chicken dinner

Cathedral of Christ the King sponsors its annual chicken dinner at the parish hall, 1111 Belknap St., 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12, $4 and children 5 and younger are free. Takeouts are available with delivery to the homebound. To request delivery, call the parish hall (715) 392-1661 on the day of the dinner.

Pork dinner

The 10th annual pork dinner runs 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., Duluth. For tickets and information, call (218) 624-3648.
