Andy “Kaos” Kolle of Fergus Falls, Minn., earned a 10-round unanimous decision over Matt “The Predator” Vanda of St. Paul to retain the Minnesota middleweight title Friday night at Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minn.
Kolle, 27, from Horton’s Gym in Duluth, has won four straight bouts. He earned an eight-round unanimous decision over Vanda in November 2007 in Maplewood, Minn., and won a middleweight bout in three rounds against Anthony Bonsante a year ago in Hinckley. Kolle (21-2) has 15 knockouts and is ranked ninth among American middleweights by boxrec.com.
Vanda, 31, is 42-11 with 22 knockouts, and has lost two straight bouts and four of his past seven.
On the undercard, Duluth boxer Gary Eyer (8-0-1, 6 KOs) stayed unbeaten with a second-round technical knockout of St. Paul’s Brad Patraw (6-2, 4 KOs) in a six-round featherweight bout.
