The 15th annual Community Housing Expo runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Mariner Mall.
The Housing Expo creates opportunity for prospective homebuyers, homeowners, renters and landlords to collect new information on homeownership including tax credit materials, home ownership and selling tips, and renter and landlord information. The Housing Expo provides an informal opportunity to discuss housing needs and plans with local lenders and realtors. Public Housing applications will also be available.
“The Housing Expo is designed to benefit everyone interested in housing and admission is free,” said Sandra Al-Qudah, director of the Housing Expo’s host program. A new feature to the Housing Expo this year is the Home Ownership Lounge. Visitors to the Housing Expo can meet privately, face-to-face with a realtor, lender and housing counselor just outside of the hustle and bustle of the main Housing Expo area.
Lenders, Realtors, Home Inspectors, city departments, the Housing Counseling Program of Catholic Community Services, housing-related businesses and organizations will be on hand to answer housing questions. Free door prizes will be available by visiting many of the exhibitor displays. If an interpreter is required or accommodations are needed to attend this event, contact Sandy at (715) 394-6617. Exhibit space is available and can be reserved by calling the same number.
