Bernice Blank

Bernice Blank, 83, long time Superior resident, died December 16, 2009 at Valley Care Hospital in Pleasanton, Calif.

Bernice was born July 17, 1926 in Superior, to Kristian and Esther Mortensen.

She graduated from the former Central High School. She retired after 38 years at Lidgerwood Manufacturing.

She was a long time member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior.

In 2001 Bernice moved to California to live with her sister Dorothy Hovenden and her family.

She is survived by one sister Dorothy Hovenden, Livermore, Calif.; two sister-in-laws Carol Mortensen, Bemidji, Minn. and Marcelaine Mortensen, Superior; six nephews and one niece. She also had many great-nephews and nieces and also great-great nephews and nieces.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, William Blank; her parents; two brothers Richard Mortensen and Walter Mortensen.

She will be missed and dearly remembered.
