Superior: Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast returns to Wisconsin Public Radio with Opera Carmen with composer Georges Bizet at noon.

Superior: The WITC-Superior Auto Maintenance program’s auto shop hosts the Apple Valley Ford race trailer from 3-8 p.m. It will be open for public viewing with techs on hand to answer questions. Free and open to the public.

Duluth: The Tamarack Dance Association presents another Third Saturday Dance beginning at 8 p.m. at Peace Church, 1111 11th Ave. E. Smoke and alcohol free. All dances taught. Ashland: NWWIB Inc. Strategic Direction & Development Committee and the NWWIB Inc. One-Stop Operator Committee meet at 10 a.m. at the NWCEP, Inc. Administrative office, 422 Third St. W.

Superior: A Superior Days planning meeting begins at noon at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College- Superior Conference Room, 600 N. 21st Street. The Superior campus connects to WITC-Ashland and WITC-Rice Lake by IP video. Lunch served at the Superior Campus only. Cost is $7.

Superior: The Superior Central All-Class Committee meets at 5 p.m. at the Superior Public Library. Classmates from any era are urged to attend, as preparation continues for the Centennial Reunion, Aug. 3 and 4. The event will be held at UWS Wessman Arena, with various class meetings to be held at Superior High School. Bands have been booked; there will be golfing and other activities. A memorabilia room will display Echos, The Devil’s Pi, scrapbooks, photos and other pieces of Central history. We are accepting any of these that classmates want to have displayed. Superior: P.E.O. Chapters AD and BG Holiday Silent Auction begins at 6 p.m. at Barker’s Island. Members may bring auction items after 5:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit P.E.O. educational projects.

Duluth: A book release party for Ellen Sandbeck’s new book, “Green Barbarians: Live Bravely on Your Home Planet” runs 6-10 p.m. at The Spiritual Deli, 3 W. Superior St. Prizes will be awarded for the best “Green Barbarian” costumes.
