Television news veterans gather to talk about the state of broadcast news in the Twin Ports at 5 p.m. on “Final Edition.”
The special program comes on the heels of the sudden firing this week of KQDS Fox 21 News Director Julie Moravchik, who joins Joel Anderson, University of Wisconsin-Superior journalism senior lecturer, Duke Skorich, former television and radio reporter and Wisconsin Public Radio reporter Mike Simonson.
Moravchik was dismissed by Fox 21 this week after starting the news operation there in early 2007. Anderson was the news director at both WDIO-TV and KDLH-TV before joining the faculty at UWS.
Skorich has been a broadcast reporter, anchor and news director since the 1960s.
Final Edition airs Friday afternoons at 5 p.m. on Wisconsin Public Radio station KUWS 91.3 FM in Superior and 102.9 FM in Ashland.
