Nevala – Walker

Tracy Nevala of Foxboro, daughter of Karen and Randy Nevala of Foxboro, exchanged vows with Derek Walker of Minong on Aug. 1, 2009. He is the son of Kathy and John Walker of Minong.

The couple was married at Concordia Lutheran Church, Superior, with Pastor Ben Kidder officiating.

The bride chose her friend, Carol Delegan as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Nevala, sister of the bride, and Brook Walker, sister of the groom. Her personal attendant was her friend, Athena Doty. Sadie Doty was the flower girl.

The groom chose his friend, Dan Phillips as best man. Groomsmen were Erik Buchman, cousin of the groom and Colten Fox, friend of the groom. Anthony Crowley, friend of the bride, and Cole Gauger, cousin of the groom, served as ushers.

A reception was held at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, and the couple vacationed in the Wisconsin Dells.

The bride is employed by St. Mary’s Duluth Clinic as a certified medical assistant.

The groom is employed by Walker Lumber in Minong.
