“The Chancellors,” a nationally-known music quartet and the local group “Hear By Faith” present a concert to usher in the Christmas season at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St. Free will offering accepted.
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., Duluth, hosts its Scandinavian dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday. Gourmet, handmade from scratch Scandinavian delights. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children 5-12 and free for children younger than five.
St. Anthony Church, 4315 E. Third St., Superior, hosts it Candy Land Bazaar on Sunday. It begins at noon and ends with drawings for many great prizes at 3 p.m. The event includes games for adults and children, a craft booth, Christmas room and Christmas cookie sale. Raffles and lunch served throughout the event. There will also be a separate raffle for a Green Bay Packers autographed football.
Bethel Lutheran Church is having its annual Christmas Social at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Superior Singers entertain.
The Catholic Daughters hold a Christmas Tea after the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday at St. Francis Church. There will be Christmas music, lunch, a collection of children’s gifts for CASDA, a cheese ball pick-up and a raffle drawing.
First United Methodist Women meet at the home of Lois Smith for their annual Christmas gathering at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Linda Williams co-hosts.
Women’s Ministries meets at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hawthorne Assembly of God. All who wish to participate in a cookie exchange may bring your ingredients and bake them at the church or bring them ready to share.
