Bob Hope’s USO Road Trip performs for “The Troops” in Lake Nebagamon at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the auditorium.
Tickets for the show are $15 and include refreshments. A cash bar will be available.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Kids in Nebagamon Library Building Maintenance Fund.
The show honors troops now serving in defense of the U.S.A. Something really strange occurs when Hope’s granddaughters (Lori Anderson and Randy Alexson) recreate their grandfather’s USO show. Suddenly, the ghosts of stars who performed over the years appear in this 2009 recreation of Hope’s finest moments. Among the stars performing with Bob Hope (Dale Botten) are Phyllis Diller (Janine Seis), the Andrews Sisters (Debbie Anderson, Marge Kaczynski and Jann Brill), Patsy Cline (Judi Liebaert), Homer, of Homer and Jethro (Ed Charbonneau), Stevie Nicks (Cheryl Tiedemann), Carol Burnett and Mama, of “Mama’s Family” (Swan Dawson and Anne Hoyt), Dean Martin or maybe Frank Sinatra (Chris Hoyt) and even Little Orphan Annie, brought to life by Karen Lawler.
To reserve a seat call Kay Coletta, (715) 374-2283 after 11 a.m. any day.
