Six University of Wisconsin-Superior students were awarded Distance Learning Center Scholarships for the current 2009-10 academic school year. They are Tara Carey of Eau Claire with an individually designed major; elementary education majors Lindsey Hansen and Betsy Faerber of Duluth, Teresa Nugent of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Paula Jornlin of Preshtigo, Wis.; communicating arts major Krissandra Hoffman of Couderay, Wis., and elementary education major Teresa Nugent of Beaver Dam, Wis.
UWS’ Distance Learning Center has been serving students for more than 30 years by offering adults the opportunity to pursue one of four accredited University of Wisconsin degrees through online studies. The Distance Learning Center is dedicated to helping students expand their academic horizons in a flexible environment, while learning from any geographical distance without interrupting day to day family, employment and community obligations.
