The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Iron River National Fish Hatchery will host a public open house and offer guided hatchery tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 12.
Activities will be offered for children and adults, including a Chinese form of fish printing called gyotaku, (T-shirts to paint will be provided to kids while supplies last), fly-tying and casting lessons with Trout Unlimited representatives and an appearance by the Duluth Zoomobile. A barbeque lunch will be provided by the Brule River Sportsman’s Club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
