Rentals available on Barker’s Island

Wheel Fun Rentals, a recreational rental company, recently added a new location in Douglas County at Barker’s Island Inn in Superior.

The resort is located in Lake Superior’s Duluth/Superior Harbor and is the ideal place for a day of fun and relaxation! Wheel Fun Rentals provides the perfect ride to journey around the island on our unique Surreys, comfortable cruisers or mountain bikes.

Adjacent to Barker’s Island Inn is Barkers Island Marina, a full service Wisconsin marina with 420 slips where sailing, rentals and fishing charters are available.

Along your ride, be sure to visit the S.S. Meteor Museum. Built in 1896 and launched from Superior, the SS Meteor is the last remaining whaleback freighter. She carried a variety of cargo on the Great Lakes until 1969. The Museum also features exhibits on Twin Ports shipbuilding history and Great Lakes shipwrecks.

If you’re up for a longer ride, cross the bridge off the island onto the Osaugie Multi-Purpose Trail, where there is over 5 miles of bay views for your enjoyment.
