Saturday, Duluth: A spaghetti dinner fundraiser runs 4-7 p.m. at The Other Place/Ridgeview Lanes. The benefit is for the Jeff Hashey family. Hashey died unexpectedly while working in Amarillo, Texas, and the expenses have been devastating for his family.

Tuesday, Duluth: Musicians from the College of St. Scholastica stage a concert entitled “One World” at 7:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Auditorium to raise money to enable two Iraqi refugees to study at the college beginning in the fall. Donations welcome. Proceeds will help cover transportation and other expenses for Mohammed Al-Suraih and Mustafa Saleem, who are from Baghdad but are displaced in Damascus, Syria.

Saturday, Duluth: A Worm Composting Workshop begins at 10 a.m. in Room E2018 of Lake Superior College. The squiggly little creatures can recycle leftover food scraps and turn them into fertilizer for your vegetable garden and house plants.
