Benjamin Eugene LaGoo, age 51, of South Range, Wis., former Ranier, Minn., resident, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Benny fought a short battle with cancer that he was diagnosed with Oct. 8, 2008.
Benjamin Eugene LaGoo, age 51, of South Range, Wis., former Ranier, Minn., resident, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Benny fought a short battle with cancer that he was diagnosed with Oct. 8, 2008.
Benny was employed as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad in Superior.
He was a very warm, loving and thoughtful person who was always there if you needed anything. He loved life and became a friend to all the wonderful people that came into his life over the years.
He enjoyed spending time with family and his friends.
Our memories of him will carry on in our hearts.
Benny is survived by his wife, Cindy (Andrea) and stepdaughter, Rachel Leverty of South Range; parents, Donald and Pat LaGoo of Ranier, Minn.; brother, Donald LaGoo Jr., also of Ranier; sisters, Tammy LaGoo of Emo, Ontario, Bonny LaGoo and Carrie LaGoo, both of International Falls, Minn.; along with many aunts, uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by a very close and special friend, John Walls of Ranier, Minn.
A luncheon and memorial gathering to celebrate his life with family and friends will take place 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at Moose Lodge, 66 E. Fifth St., Superior.
