April Junior Optimists

Emma Radtke and Nick Goble, both juniors at Superior High School, were selected as the Superior Noon Optimist Club Junior Optimists for April.

Emma participates in SHS swim team and mock trial and is on the A honor roll. She is a member of the Youth Leadership program. Her hobbies include scuba diving, running, and enjoying the outdoors. Emma plans to attend either the University of Wisconsin or the University of Minnesota to pursue an education in the environmental sciences.

Nick participates in SHS tennis and Quiz Bowl and plays in the SHS and UWS pep bands. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He has had three years of Spanish and is CPR certified. Nick may attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for a degree in engineering or computer science.

The students have been joining the Optimist Club for weekly luncheon meetings. They will have the opportunity next fall to apply for a $1000 community service award sponsored by the club.
