Meetings

Saturday, Superior: The Memorial Day Council meets at 11 a.m. at C’s Lounge. All veterans groups are encouraged to send a representative.

Saturday, Wascott: Wascott holds its annual town meeting at 10 a.m. in the town hall.

Monday, Superior: PEO Chapter BU meets at 11:30 a.m. at the home of Christina Kline with Gin Scholbrock as co-hostess. The program, “Life in Russia,” will be given by Tatianna Kornstad.

Tuesday, Superior: The Catholic Daughters meet at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony Parish for a dessert luncheon. Speaker will be Deacon Phil Runser.

Tuesday, Superior: The VFW Post 1091 and the Ladies Auxiliary meets at C’s Lounge, 1419 Banks Ave. The Ladies meet at 6 p.m. and the men at 7 p.m. This month is elections, so all members are encouraged to attend.

Tuesday, Lake Nebagamon: The Nebagamon Community Association invites the public to a meeting at 6 a.m. at Rose’s Bakery to help improve the community. Saturday, Duluth: Geek Prom 2009, the annual gala for awkward adults, returns to the Great Lakes Aquarium from 8 p.m. until midnight. Admission $15 at the door.
