Police investigate death in Belknap Terrace

The Superior Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old woman who was found dead in her Belknap Terrace residence Sunday.

The Superior Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old woman who was found dead in her Belknap Terrace home Sunday.

Because the cause of death was not immediately apparent and there was disruption of the home's contents, the department is treating the location as a potential crime scene, according to a release by the police department.

A forensic pathologist from Coon Rapids, Minn., was expected to arrive this morning to assist the investigation.

The woman, identified as Patricia A. Engstrom, had not been heard from in a few days, which prompted a relative to go check on her, according to Capt. Matt Markon. The relative found her dead in her residence, 3505 Belknap St., Lot 56, around 5 p.m. Sunday.
