11: The most races Jimmie Johnson has been winless to start a Cup season. It happened in 2003, his second full season in the Cup series. Johnson, who is winless through the first four races of 2009, picked up his first victory last year in his eighth start.
33: Ryan Newman’s position in the Sprint Cup standings through four races. In Newman’s first seven seasons (full time), his average position after four races was 10.14.
29: Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s position through four races. In Earnhardt’s first nine seasons, his average position after four races was 12.33.
