Wilfred O. “Willie” Keskinen

Wilfred O. “Willie” Keskinen, 76, of Seaford, N.Y., formerly of Superior, died on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.

He was born on April 15, 1932, the son of Wilfred and Ruth (Klang) Keskinen in Ironwood, Mich. Willie attended Pattison Elementary School, Superior Central High School for two years and graduated from Long Beach High School in Long Beach, N.Y.

He was an Army Korean War veteran. He had worked with Canada Dry as a warehouse man until his retirement. Willie enjoyed his annual trips to Superior for the Central Class of 1950 luncheons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jean (Flower); his parents, and a sister, Ruth Keskinen.

Willie is survived by his sons, Willie (Carolynne), Richard (Theresa), Martin (Patricia); his daughters, Jean Finfrock (Charles), and Diana Keskinen; his twin brother Richard (Lee), of Bennett; and sister Helen Keskinen, of Bayside, N.Y. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one aunt, Alphild Bergstrom of Hermantown; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Services were held on Aug. 25 in Seaford and burial was in Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, N.Y.
