Paul J. Terry

Paul J. Terry, 86, died in his sleep at his home in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008.

He was born May 6, 1922, in Superior to Eleen and Elmer Terry. He graduated from East High School in Superior, and was a retired grain weighman for the state of Wisconsin Grain Commission. On Dec. 26, 1941, he married Evelyn Mork. He was past president of the Superior Wisconsin Grain Weighers and Inspectors Union, past president of the Superior Fast Pitch Diamond Ball Association, and past commissioner for the state of Wisconsin Fast Pitch Diamond Ball Association.

He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two sisters Lois, and Gladden.

He is survived by his two brothers, Don (Lois) Terry, Roy (Lois) Terry; three children, Jackie (Allen) Wicklund, Ron (Mary) Terry and Dennis Terry; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Gordon on Sept. 6.

Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman. Memorials will be given to the Eau Claire Lakes Conservation Club in Barnes.
