Darlene M. Olson, 71 died July 2, 2008

Darlene M. Olson, 71, of 4935 Itasca Drive, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in St. Francis Home in the Park.

She was born July 27, 1936, in Superior and was a lifelong resident. Darlene served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for McGladrey & Pullen in Duluth.

Darlene is survived by her brother Dale (Dolores) Olson of Superior and sister Patricia (Harold Clark) Flatten of Maiden Rock, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hugo and Myrtle Olson; brothers Eugene, Lyle and Gerald; and a sister Donna Vekich.

A memorial will be held at Downs Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Daniel Dahlberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment in Calvary Cemetery.
