Alice J. Browne

Alice J. Browne, 76, lifelong Superior area resident, died Saturday, June 7, 2008, at her home in Superior.

She was born in Superior on March 6, 1932, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Kalk) Peterson.

Alice is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Linda Kastner, Cloquet; three sons, Greg (Amy) Browne, Concord, N.C.; Shawn (Pam) Browne, Lyndon Station, Wis.; and Dennis (Lynn) Browne, St. Paul; eight grandchildren, Missy Graveson, Kirsten Browne, Megan Browne, Katelyn Browne, Nicole Browne, Michelle Browne, Roberta Browne and Benjamin Browne; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Marge (Ken) Kalligher, Duluth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Peterson; and one daughter, Debbie Graveson.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave. Visitation continues at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church, Superior, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Charles Plaster officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Memorials may be made in Alice’s name to the Animal Rescue Federation of Superior.
