The Amnicon Seniors of Wentworth have scheduled a variety of activities for May. The next meeting is Tuesday, starting with an exercise class at 10:45 a.m. followed by a birthday party and games at 12:30 p.m. Anyone planning to take lunch must make a reservation by noon the previous day.
The Aging Resource Center for Douglas County and the Douglas County Health and Human Services Department hosts a series of health education presentations the last Tuesday of each month. The next meeting is 10:30-11:30 a.m. May 27 at the Superior Senior Center, 1527 Tower Ave., and includes the topic, “Men’s Health — How to Stay on Top of It.” To stay for lunch after the presentation call (218) 591-0001 to reserve a spot. A $3.50 donation is requested. Menu includes beef stroganoff, buttered noodles, apple sauce, Brussels sprouts and cake.
