No public school Friday; UWS, WITC, UMD, CSS, LSS closed

Because of the blizzard warning issued by the National Weather Bureau, there will be no classes for students in the School District of Superior on Friday, the Superior School District said in an afternoon e-mail to parents. The cancellation includes all school activities planned for Friday.

Maple School District also confirmed classes have been canceled.

In Maple and Solon Springs, no classes were to be held Friday due to preexisting scheduling.

UWS has canceled classes beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday and continuing through Friday. Other closed colleges include WITC-Superior, UMD, the College of St. Scholastica and Lake Superior College, according to KDAL Radio.
